The Small School is interested in developing new directions in primary education. We offer a child-centred, family-friendly learning environment. We are particularly interested in integrated learning, emergent curriculum and the facilitation of children's agency in their education. We are looking to add a new FT teacher to our team in 2020.
We are seeking a teacher with skills and experience in delivering an integrated, project and play-based curriculum, who has a well-developed understanding of their approach to teaching numeracy and literacy. As a school we also have a strong interest in outdoor and environmental education and would welcome skills and knowledge in this area.
We also seek a teacher who is willing to listen to the voices and emotional experiences of children in the learning environment and respond to these needs in their approach to teaching.
